Several small, sharply contrasting \u003cstrong\u003eblack bixbyite crystals\u003c\/strong\u003e are perched directly on the topaz, including examples near the termination and along the crystal faces. The contrast between the warm transparent topaz and opaque black bixbyite makes the association particularly easy to appreciate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMounted upright on a clear acrylic base, the specimen presents extremely well for its compact size.
