Plancheite is a hydrated copper silicate known for its distinctive coloration and typically occurs in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. Crevices within the planceite reveal sparkling, dark green libethenite crystals best appreciated under magnification. Crystalline white to colourless quartz and pink calcite provide nice contrast.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe late Mike Clark obtained the specimen from The Aesthetics Underground, Banff, Alberta and labeled it specimen #987.
