Fossil crab - Potamon potamios, Turkey

Pleistocene-age freshwater crab resting within its den, now made of travertine. Perhaps my favourite example currently in stock. Although difficult to photograph, I like how one of it's two pinchers is pushed up against the wall of the den. Both pinchers are there and well as most of the legs. You can impress your friends further by showing this specimen's fluorescence under UV light! Comes with display case. From Anatolia, Turkey.
