Fluorite with Calcite, Lora Lai, Baluchistan, Pakistan

We have several very large cabinet specimens of fluorite and calcite from Pakistan. This big, bold and beautiful example shows a pleasant frosting of orange calcite over dark purple fluorite cubes. It is interesting to note the calcite deposition was directional and only covers one angle of the specimen, somewhat reminiscent of a wet snowstorm blowing in at an angle (all the Canadians reading this will relate!).
