This beautiful specimen shows white calcite crystals liberally sprinkled over purple cubic fluorite crystals, giving the piece excellent contrast. The specimen's form adds much interest with its stalactite-like appearance. This would have been an impressive discovery at the mine! Large specimens reveal much about the geologic environment the minerals came from as everything is left in association, versus single crystals detached from matrix. A great centre piece for sure!
