Bixbyite (twinned), Solar Wind Mine, Thomas Range, Utah

Here is a specimen that should attract a variety of collectors for different reasons. The species - bixbyite - is certainly not common and the best do come from the Thomas Range. If you are looking for a unique mineral this is a good choice. The specimen is certainly aesthetic, perched on top of a piece of contrasting rhyolite, and would fit nicely into any thumbnail collection too.
